Prophetic means the ability to foresee things that are happening in the future, while master means to be very good at one’s craft. Prophetic master mind, therefore, means seeing what is inside a person’s mind and telling the future using God’s gift of prophecy.
To become a prophetic master mind requires several criteria, the first one of which and the most important one, is to be chosen by God for this purpose. Individual cannot simply declare I want to become a prophet as if choosing a career in modeling or broadcasting. To determine this plan of God, one must undergo a time for self-assessment and soul searching.
Doing a self-assessment test is easier said than done, because more often than not a person is afraid to find out the truth about his character. To become a prophetic mastermind, however, requires that a person is able to face his own issues and fears before he can become a good prophet. God needs a person who is willing to face his own flaws to be molded by God.
In psychology, there is a process of self assessment called, the Johari’s window, developed by Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham in 1955. There are four quadrants in this window that allows a person to see himself from four different views. This may be helpful in prophetic training because it will give an individual an idea about how others see him, as well. Using 56 different adjectives to describe a person, the individual himself and the other participants will pick 6 of them to describe the person being assessed.
The first quadrant represents the characteristics of the person as he sees it and as others sees it. The second quadrant represents characteristics of the person that are hidden from other people. The third quadrant, however, are adjectives chosen by other individuals that the person being assessed may not be aware of, this is how other people sees the person. Finally, the last quadrant is the area that is both unknown to the person himself and other people, as well. We can say that, in prophetic master mind, this is the portion of one’s life that only God knows.
The importance of this activity in prophetic training is to be familiar with one’s view, to accept other people’s opinion and most importantly to be open to what God has to say. Knowing this last prophetic quadrant is not easy, but is possible to be unlocked if a person is in tune with God’s plan for his life and is open to God’s prophesies for him.
